Soul Restore Solutions announces the May 31, 2025 release of the new book “THE SPIRIT IS IN THE ROOM” by trauma therapist and author Angela Sarafin

Soul Restore Solutions President and founding owner, Angela Sarafin, LMFT, LPC, EMDRIA Certified Therapist, and Certified Neurographica Specialist will self-publish her first book, “The Spirit Is In The Room” on May 31, 2025.

This book shares genuine stories of how traumatized individuals were skillfully treated through the incorporation of creativity and Christianity with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.  Throughout the book, beautifully illustrated real-life examples from inside the counseling room are shared in such a way that every reader will be moved by the possibilities found in healing.  Along the way, Angela demystifies how traumatic events affect both the brain and body, she describes in practical, everyday terms how the EMDR technique works, and encourages both therapists and clients to partner to achieve successful outcomes.

This book will lift the veil on the therapy processes to provide valuable insights, understanding, and comfort to those currently in therapy, motivate those who have experienced trauma and may be contemplating therapy, and provide hope for those encouraging others to seek healing.  Best practices and lessons learned shared from the author’s eighteen years of experience underpin content aimed at fellow therapists and EMDR practitioners who may have struggled in using EMDR.  Angela uses anonymized first-hand accounts of transformative experiences from client sessions that will inspire the reader to lean in and embrace the beauty that can emerge from the ashes.  She also offers exercises designed to stir your own creativity.
